Job Title: Assistant

Job Summary: The researcher will be involved in transport measurements and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) studies of materials exhibiting topological properties.

Job Description: The International Centre for Interfacing Magnetism and Superconductivity with Topological Matter – MagTop is the Division (ON-6) of the Institute of Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences  and is aimed as the Division which will continue activity of the center funded by a grant awarded to Professors Tomasz Dietl and Tomasz Wojtowicz within the International Research Agendas programme of the Foundation for Polish Science, carried out from the funds of the European Regional Development Fund under the Smart Growth Operational  Programme (SG OP), Priority Axis 4: Increasing the research potential, Measure 4.3: International Research Agendas .Transport measurement will be performed in the wide temperature range (down to mK) and wide magnetic field range. The researcher will also take care and develop apparatus used for transport measurements.  Conducting research on topological matter in MagTop’s experimental teams

Profile of candidate for the position:

  1. PhD in physics or related disciplines obtained after year 2 000.
  2. At least 3 years of research experience in the area of transport and ARPES studies documented by publications
  3. Knowledge of the technique of measurements at low and very low temperatures, knowledge of programs that enable the analysis of APRES spectra
  4. Ability to work in a team as well as independently
  5. Fluent spoken and written English

Salary: 4 700 PLN basic salary gross per month
